Media is replete with the desperate stories of debunked businesses, splintered churches, fractured homes and fallen leadership. Is there a deterrent that can help counteract the negative forces influencing people's destructive decisions.
The answer is yes, there is a practice that can create a safety zone within our lives. In this session we will examine four reasons wise leaders not only believe accountability is important but they practice and teach it.
Bio:
As a dynamic and articulate communicator, Mike speaks to thousands of students, leaders and youth pastors through a diversified ministry of camps, conferences and evangelistic events. He has a deep burden for evangelism, discipleship and development of future leadership.
Mike has co-author several books, the most recent being 8 Reasons Why I'm Not a Christian, and has written the Where Do I Go From Here? Interactive Discipleship Series. He continues an ongoing writing ministry and has produced multiple DVD's for teens and local church leaders. He maintains a full travel schedule and preaches both nationally and internationally in churches, youth events, leadership conferences, colleges and seminaries.
Mike's formal education includes a B.A. degree in Bible from Tennessee Temple University, as well as graduate work done through Columbia Theological Seminary and a Master of Ministry Degree from Baptist Bible Seminary. He has served with Word of Life Fellowship since 1974 in several roles including Director of Word of Life Island and Vice President of Local Church Ministries. He presently serves as Executive Assistant to the President for Ministry Development.
Mike makes his home in Schroon Lake, New York, with his wife, Betsi, who has an ongoing teaching and writing ministry to ladies and teen girls. They have three grown children: Misty (with the Lord), Joshua (granddaughter, Misty Arden) and Caleb.
