2013 SLU Summer Staff Information

You can experience Student Leadership University as a part of our team. We are currently looking for the 2013 SLU Summer Interns. SLU Interns have the opportunity to learn leadership skills on a variety of level whle being challenged both spiritually and mentally. A summer with SLU will take your leadership to a whole new level. As a student at SLU, you learned techniques from time and life management, people skills, goal setting and servant leadership. As a staff member, you will have the opportunity to apply all that you have learned when you get a chance to equip the next generation of leaders! Requirements of SLU Summer Staff Applicants
1. Must have completed SLU 101, SLU 201 and SLU 301 (or SLU 401) prior to serving as a SLU summer intern.
2. Must be a minimum age of eighteen and have completed at least one year of college.
3. Must be available to serve during the entire time period listed for the position you are applying.



Application Timeline for SLU Summer Staff

We accept applications for SLU Summer Interns throughout the year. However, we must have your application by Feb. 22, 2013 in order to be a 2013 Summer Intern. Any applications received after February 22, 2013 will be considered for 2014 summer program positions.

Please note that the only exception to the deadline is for those applying to be an SLU 101 Intern who do not attend a partner school. Applications are due November 30, 2012 for these positions.


Applicants are encouraged to apply earlier rather than later because decisions for summer staff positions are made on a continous basis throughout the year. Once an application is received by the office, the applicant will be sent an email within two weeks confirming receipt of the application and detailing the rest of the application process.


Compensation for SLU Summer Staff

All travel expenses to and from the program site (flight, driving, etc) are paid for by SLU. During the program week, all housing, food, and approved incidental expenses are also covered by SLU. However, SLU Summer Internships are volunteer positions. The only exception to this are interns who serve from partnering schools.
