The Ultimate Servant-Leadership Experience
SLU Missions is the opportunity for you to combine the ultimate in leadership training experiences with the call of Christ to serve. Student can take what they've learned in SLU 101 and immediately apply it through a short-term missions opportunity in Orlando!
You can be a part of the SLU Missions Experience when you register for SLU 101 in Orlando, FL. When you register your group, just select which option you would like to add on to your SLU 101 experience. (Please note: The mission experience is only available to groups with a chaperone. Transporation is not provided, but can be arranged for an additional cost.)
Two Options:
A Two-Day Mission Experience: $125
includes your hotel, meals and service projects through Saturday morning.
A Three-Day Mission Experience: $160
includes your hotel, meals and service projects through Sunday morning.
Where do we serve?
Give Kids the World
Located in Kissimmee, Give Kids The World (GKTW) is a non-profit organization that fulfills wishes of children with life-threatening illnesses by providing them and their families with cost-free, weeklong trips to Central Florida’s attractions. Student Leadership University partners with GKTW to minister to and touch the guest families. GKTW provides a great opportunity for students to be the hands and feet of Jesus to hurting families.
Orlando Union Rescue Mission
OUR Mission Home is a transitional housing facility that serves single women, single mothers, and married couples with children. The facility’s home-like atmosphere provides residents private and semi-private rooms at no charge. Homeless women, children, and families live in the Home until they are able to regain their footing and live self-sufficiently again. SLU students serve through construction projects, leading Bible clubs, participating in sports camps, and leading weekly worship services. OUR Mission provides a great opportunity to connect and minister to the homeless and hurting of Central Florida.
