For the 11th year in a row, Student Leadership University is partnering with The First Academy to provide the 8th Grade Trip to Washington, D.C. Travel with us to our Nation's Capital as we learn about our heritage and prepare for the future. From October 1-4, 2013, we will explore Washington, D.C. and visit places including the White House, the Capitol, the Pentagon, Arlington National Cemetery, Ford's Theater(where President Lincoln was shot), the home of George Washington at Mount Vernon, the Smithsonian museums and galleries, the Lincoln Memorial, the Jefferson Memorial, the FDR Memorial, the WWII Memorial, the National Cathedral, and many other exciting and important sites in and around Washington. You won't want to miss this incredible opportunity!

Prices:

  • $1105 for Students
  • $1247 for Chaperones

What does this include? Price includes round-trip airline fare from Orlando, 3 nights hotel lodging, all transportation while in DC, fees for all sites, and meals (Tuesday lunch through Friday lunch).

Special Note on Prices: Student price is based on 4 students per room. Chaperone price is based on 2 adults per room. Also, price is based on a $250 airline ticket. If the airline ticket is more than $250 per participant, the price will be adjusted accordingly and participants will be responsible for the difference.

Deposit: Registration is open until March 8, 2013 and $250 is due at the time of registration to secure your spot. All registrations after this date will incur a $100 late fee.

Travel Insurance: Travel Insurance may be purchased for an additional $42 for comprehensive and $57 for comprehensive plus cancellation for any reason. It must be purchased at the time of registration. Click the travel insurance link on the right to learn more.

Final Balance: The final trip payment is due August 2, 2013.
