Sound the Shofar! You asked for it and here it is...
Dr. Jay and the SLU staff announce the inaugural 501 trip to Israel. You’ll see Israel from top to bottom. Imagine seeing Calvary, the empty Tomb, the Mount of Olives, the Garden of Gethsemane, Nazareth, the Sea of Galilee, and the Valley of Megiddo where Armageddon will be fought. We’ll travel to the usual SLU extras including Masada, the Dead Sea, and Qumran where the Dead Sea Scrolls were discovered. We will walk the wall of Old Jerusalem and see where King David stumbled. There will also be an anointing service in the same shepherd’s field where David was anointed to be King.
I’m only inviting those who have completed 301 or those that have been an intern with us. During part of this trip, we’ll be involved in a 2-day SLU Middle East training event with 50 Israeli students and 50 Arab students. I promise you will understand the conflict in the world, the great monotheistic religions, and leadership like never before. I also want you to help me train and mentor teens in the Middle East.
Please email Dr. Jay, jstrack007@studentleadership.net, if you have any interest in going. This is short notice and some of you may have to get permission to miss school. We’ll depart March 20th and arrive the 21st. SLU Middle East will be conducted on the 22nd and 23rd, then the tour and lectures begin. We return home on the 29th. Tell mom you’ll be safe. Dr. Jay crosses his heart.
