 Mike Calhoun is a dynamic and articulate communicator. He preaches to thousands of students yearly in camps, conferences and evangelistic events. He ministers to youth pastors and leaders influencing them in leadership and discipleship. His responsibilities include overseeing a missionary staff who minister to over 1,300 local church ministries.
Under his leadership, nationally each week more than 6,000 leaders and 40,000 youth are involved in a discipleship ministry through Word of Life. Mike is the author of Pushing the Limits: Unleashing the Potential of Student Ministry, and First Steps, the Great Adventure Begins. He maintains a full travel schedule; preaching both nationally and internationally in churches, youth events, leadership conferences, colleges and seminaries. Synopsis: We do not need large numbers of pastors, youth leaders and teachers... we just need a few whose lives are worthy of imitation! Curbing the dropout of our students' post-youth ministry is a priority but it begins with a candid self-examination.
