Age Requirements:
Students must be 15 old to attend without an adult.
Cancellation and Transfer Fees:
Regardless of reason, cancellations and transfers cost Student Leadership University. To offset these costs, the following fees will apply. In fairness to others, we cannot make exceptions.
45 days or more before departure: Deposit will be lost (Deposit may be transferred to new registration but cannot transfer to anyone currently registered)
Between 44-30 days days from conference: 50% of the total cost of the program will be forfeited
Less than29 days before the conference: 100% of the total cost of the program will be forfeited
Balances must be paid in total at least 45 days before conference. Any registration not paid in full by this day will incurr a $25 late fee.
Code of Conduct
The mission of Student Leadership University is to inspire and equip students to capture their future through leadership skills. Our programs are intentionally designed with excellence and unique experiences. In order to do so, we hold to a high standard of conduct for every attendee, regardless of age or circumstance. Therefore, those who are part of the program must agree to our code of conduct.
• SLU attendees may not use alcohol, non-prescribed drugs, illegal drugs or tobacco at any time during an SLU trip.
• Regardless of age, SLU attendees are expected to remain with the group at all times, with the exception of free time. Should free time become part of the itinerary, students are expected to stay in groups of 3. Regardless of age, SLU attendees are expected to conduct themselves in a manner of conduct that is consistent with a Christian testimony and the SLU leadership training, including their use of language.
• Program Participants should note that no clothing or clothing articles showing, referring
to, stating, or implying anything to do with alcohol, drugs, profanity, or sex is allowed.
• Any student or chaperone not returning to the bus at the expected time of departure will be required to pay for taxi fare to the hotel, except in cases of emergency.
• Any student or chaperone who does not remain in the guidelines of the code of conduct, including set curfews, will be asked to leave the program and returned to their home at their own expense.
• Attendees are required to accept the curfew extended by the program, regardless of age.
Student Leadership University reserves the right to send home any participant, at the expense of the legal guardian of said participant, whose behavior violates stated, common sense, or understood guidelines or rules.
Hotel Fees
Tuition rates are based on FOUR PERSONS sharing a room. Double and triple rooms are subject to availability at an additional cost. If you cannot supply roommates to accommodate four to a room and SLU is unable to do so, additional charges will apply. You may be billed after the final payment date for double or single room accommodations as necessary. You also agree to pay for any charges billed to the room, such as room service or telephone calls. All rooms have two double beds and rollaway beds are not available. Rooms may not be co-ed unless member of the same family. Students under 18 may not room alone. Rooms will be available at 3:00 pm.
Travel Information
For SLU 101 singles (those not attending in a group), students will be met at the baggage claim areas for the respective airlines on which they are flying. Due to Transportation Safety Administration regulations we are unable to meet students at the gate. We are not able to accept unaccompanied minors flying on any airline. Students will be put on a commercial shuttleservice or a taxi with other program participants and will be transported to the program hotel. At the end of the program, approximately 2:30 pm, students will be put on a commercial shuttle service or a taxi with other program participants and transported back to the airport.
